LABELION (Labetalol) belongs to a class of drugs known as Alpha & Beta blockers.

This medication is primarily used to treat hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases and disorders.

INDICATIONS:

Hypertension

Heart failure

Angina

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Like other beta blockers, labetalol works by changing the way body responds to some nerve impulses, especially in the heart. It slows down the heart rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body. It also works like an alpha blocker to widen some of the blood vessels.

DOSAGE:

Initial dose – 100 mg twice daily.
