KAJUPTIN contains Sitagliptin as the active ingredient.

KAJUPTIN (Sitagliptin) is in a class of medications called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors.

INDICATIONS:

This medication is used along with a proper diet & Exercise plan to improve blood sugar control in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

KAJUPTIN (Sitagliptin) works by enhancing active incretin levels , Incretin are the hormones which regulate insulin production in the body, Enhanced incretin levels lead to increased insulin production, Sitagliptin also lowers glucagon secretion from alpha cells, which decreases hepatic glucose overproduction.

DOSAGE: The dose range of sitagliptin varies from 50 to 100 mg/day, depending upon the condition of the Patient.
