INDICATIONS-

Prevent blood clots

Prevention of stroke

Prevention of heart attack

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Ticagrelor inhibits platelet activation and aggregation by reversibly interacting with the platelet P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor to prevent signal transduction.

DOSAGE:

Oral ticagrelor is initiated as a one time loading dose of 180 mg (two 90-mg tablets), followed by continued treatment with 90 mg twice daily.OR As directed by the physician.
