KENTAVIR (Entecavir) is in a class of medications called nucleoside analogs.This medication is generally used to treat viral infections of the liver.

INDICATIONS:

Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. (Swelling of the liver caused by a virus)

Can be used as a Prophylactic drug for cancer.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Entecavir is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up the infection.

DOSAGE:

1 Tablet once or twice a day or as directed by the physician.
