MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Sodium Valproate increases concentrations of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain, thereby reducing neuronal excitability by inhibiting nerve transmission, and normalising the activity of the brain.

DOSAGE:

The dose range varies from 250-1000 mg/day based on the condition of the patient.
