Rosuvastatin Calcium 10mg& Clopidogrel bisulphate 75mg Tablets

ROTSAN CL is a combination of two medicinal drugs Rosuvastatin & Clopidogrel Rosuvastatin belongs to a group of medicines called HMG-CoA and Clopidogrel is in a class of drugs called antiplatelet medications

INDICATIONS:

Prevention of heart attack

Prevention of stroke

Hyperlipidemia

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Rosuvastatin works by slowing the production of cholesterol in the body by blocking the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase ( HMG-CoA reductase is an enzyme which plays a key role in the biosynthesis of cholesterol in the body).

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together, thereby decreasing the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of heart attack or stroke. And it also decreases the chances of having another heart attack or stroke in people at high risk of heart disease.

DOSAGE:

The maximum dose of rosuvastatin is 40 mg once daily and clopidogrel dose should be initiated with 75 mg once a day.
