Glibenclamide 5 mg & Metformin (S.R) 500mg Tablets.

BENCLABIN M is a combination of 2 antidiabetic medicines : Glibenclamide and Metformin.

This combination medication is used with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes.

INDICATIONS:

Type-2 Diabetes.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:[Text Wrapping Break]Glibenclamide is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose.

Metformin is a biguanide which works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin.

DOSAGE:-

General Dose : 1 Tablet once or twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

Maximum dose: Glibenclamide-20 mg / Metformin – 2000 mg.
