Ranolazine 500mg Extended Release Tablets

Ranolazine belongs to the class of medications called anti-anginals

INDICATION :

This medication is widely used for the treatment of CHRONIC ANGINA (ongoing chest pain or pressure that is felt when the heart does not get enough oxygen).

MECHANISM OF ACTION :

RONLIXO (Ranolazine) works by decreasing the oxygen requirement of the heart by relaxing heart muscle.

Ranolazine inhibits persistent or late inward sodium current (INa) in heart muscles . Inhibiting that current leads to reductions in intracellular calcium levels.This in turn leads to reduced tension in the heart wall, leading to reduced oxygen requirements for the muscle.

DOSAGE : The general dose range varies from 500-2000mg/day
