PAROPEACE 12.5/25 (Paroxetine Hydrochloride controlled release 12.5/25mg Tablets)

PAROPEACE 12.5/25 (Paroxetine Hydrochloride) belongs to the class of an Antidepressant drug which belongs to a class of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It is generally used for the treatment of Depression & other mental diseases and disorders.

INDICATIONS:-

Depression

Panic disorders

Anxiety disorders

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Paroxetine enhances serotonergic activity by inhibiting presynaptic reuptake of serotonin by the serotonin (SERT) receptor. This inhibition raises the level of serotonin in the synaptic cleft. This improves mood and physical symptoms of depression and also relieves symptoms of panic and obsessive disorders.

DOSAGE:

1 Tablet once a day, or as directed by the physician.

Initial Dose – 12.5mg once a day

(Can be increased based on the condition of the patient)
