Terbinafine Hydrochloride 250mg Tablets.

TERBIMIND (Terbinafine Hydrochloride) is an Antifungal medication.

INDICATIONS:

This medication is generally used for the treatment fungal infections like:

Athlete’s foot

Jock Itch

Tinea corporis (Ringworm of the body)

Tinea versicolor (A common fungal infection of the skin)

Onychomycosis (Fungal infections of fingernails, and toenails.)

Fungal infections of scalp

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

TERBIMIND (Terbinafine) gives its fungicidal effect by inhibiting the enzyme squalene monooxygenase which is involved in the synthesis of sterol in fungi. This inhibits fungal sterol biosynthesis by decreasing ergosterol levels (ergosterol is an important component of fungal cell membranes).

DOSAGE:

1 Tablet once a day or as directed by the Physician.
