BLONANY 2/4 is used in the treatment of schizophrenia (a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions and also adversely affects a person?s ability to think and behave) and mania. It can also be used to treat depression and bipolar disorders.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Blonanserin works mainly by blocking dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors in the brain. By reducing dopamine activity, it helps control psychotic symptoms like hallucinations and delusions. Blocking serotonin receptors also improves mood and reduces negative symptoms. Unlike older drugs, it has lower risk of movement side effects. Overall, it balances brain chemicals to restore clearer thinking and behavior.
