FURO-SENSE OINTMENT

Fusidic Acid Ointment 2% w/w

FURO-SENSE contains Fusidic Acid, a topical antibiotic used for bacterial skin infections.

INDICATIONS

This medication is generally used for the treatment of:

Impetigo

Infected eczema

Infected dermatitis

Folliculitis

Boils and minor skin infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus and other susceptible bacteria

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Fusidic Acid works by:

Inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis

Blocking the bacterial elongation factor G (EF-G)

Preventing bacteria from growing and multiplying

This provides bacteriostatic and sometimes bactericidal effects against susceptible organisms.

DIRECTIONS

Clean and dry the affected area gently before application.

Apply a thin layer of FURO-SENSE Ointment to the affected skin and surrounding area.

Use 2?3 times daily or as directed by your doctor.

A light dressing may be applied if recommended by the healthcare professional.

Avoid contact with eyes.
