Tascort (Aciclovir) is an Antiviral Medication, It is in a class of antiviral medications called synthetic nucleoside analogues.

INDICATIONS: Used to treat viral Infections like:-

Herpes labialis (Cold sores are caused by a contagious virus called herpes simplex virus).

Shingles (viral infection that causes a painful rash).

Genital herpes infection.

Chickenpox.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Tascort (Acyclovir) is converted to its triphosphate form, acyclovir triphosphate (ACV-TP), which competitively inhibits viral DNA polymerase, incorporates into and terminates the growing viral DNA chain, and inactivates the viral DNA polymerase. Thereby stopping the replication of viruses & clears up the infection.

DOSAGE:

One 400mg Tablet every 12 hours.
