KYFEOLINE (Theophylline) belongs to a class of drugs known as xanthines.

It is used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness caused by asthma and other lung diseases.

INDICATIONS:

Asthma

Chronic bronchitis

Emphysema (Shortness of breath.)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

KYFEOLINE (Theophylline) works by opening the airways in your lungs. It does this by inhibiting type III and type IV phosphodiesterase (PDE) enzymes, thereby increasing the cAMP and cGMP, leading to an increase in intracellular calcium, which causes vasodilation and smooth muscle relaxation.

DOSAGE: 1 Tablet once a day or as directed by the physician.
