Tranexamic Acid 500mg Tablets

TRANXONEXT (Tranexamic acid) is in a class of medications called Antifibrinolytics.

INDICATIONS :

Tranexamic Acid is used in the treatment of bleeding. It is used to prevent or reduce bleeding for a short period of time in conditions like heavy periods, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, nosebleed, tooth removal, after prostate surgery or after bladder surgery.

MECHANISM OF ACTION :

TRANXONEXT ?tranexamic acid? acts by regulating the breakdown of blood clots in the body. It blocks the release and action of plasmin which is an enzyme essential for the breakdown of clots present in the blood. This effect helps to slow down the abnormal bleeding.

DOSAGE :

2 tablets 3 times daily as long as needed or as directed by the doctor
